India Wins Asia Cup 2025 by Beating Pakistan

After having defeated Pakistan a couple of times in the ongoing Asia Cup tournament already, India was the firm favourite to win the finale last night. However, it was not a straightforward game for India by any margin. 

Pakistan posted, just 146 runs in their first innings. However, they were uncharacteristically spirited with the ball in the second innings, which resulted in a close game.

India was rather stagnated with the bat in the powerplay as they were down to 20 runs for three wickets at one point in time. This was when it looked like India might have to break a sweat to win the game.

However, Tilak Varma stood firm and he ensured an emphatic victory for India as he was ably supported by Shivam Dubey and Sanju Samson in the middle.

In the end, India needed 10 runs from the final over, and it got pretty intense as only one set batsmen was at the Greece and he was Tilak Verma himself. But this was when the youngster stood his ground and hit a crucial six, which pretty much sealed the deal in favour of India.

Thanks to the matured knock from the youngster, India was able to win the game, comprehensively against Pakistan and register and aesthetic victory in the finale game of the Asia Cup tournament.
