Government of Andhra Pradesh has been taking several progressive measures with regard to green energy projects and they have taken it to a new league altogether now.
IT minister Lokesh has now communicated the arrival of the largest green ammonia project in the world in the form of the AM Green project in the Kakinada region of Andhra Pradesh.
A short while back, Lokesh communicated that AM Green will set up a 1.5 MTPA green ammonia export terminal at Kakinada, powered by ~7.5 GW of renewable energy and ~1 GW of pumped hydro storage.
A historic first for India, exporting green energy in the form of ammonia to Germany, Singapore, and Japan. With a $10 billion investment, this project will create over 8,000 high-quality jobs and positions Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of the global green energy value chain, he stated.
This roughly converts to an investment of around 90,000 crore rupees in Indian currency and it would also generate 8000 high quality jobs. This will be the second biggest investment in Andhra Pradesh after the mighty Google project in Vizag.
This really is an explosive announcement from Lokesh on the auspicious occasion of the Sankranti season and would largely enhance the investment scene in Andhra Pradesh.
