Sandeep Vanga Breaks Every Rule Of Prabhas For Spirit

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is known for his stubborn and uncompromising attitude when it comes to his craft. With this killer mentality, he delivered blockbusters like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal.

All eyes are now on his upcoming film Spirit, a cop drama which stars reigning pan-India actor Prabhas in the lead role. Interestingly, Vanga is not deviating from his typical working style and is said to be breaking every stereotype of Prabhas after Baahubali.

It is well known Prabhas’ films post Baahubali were driven massively by larger-than-life backdrops due to which the directors mostly were reliant on huge green screens, CGI, and tightly controlled studio sets. One cannot remember when was the last time Prabhas participated in an outdoor shoot with raw and authentic locations in India.

While it may be contended that the stories of Saaho, Radheshyam and Adipurush might have prompted the filmmakers to choose such working environments, the execution frequently sparked severe backlash on Prabhas. Audiences and critics alike complained that the artificial environments were diluting Prabhas’ naturally raw, grounding screen presence which was present before Baahubali.

Now, Sandeep Reddy Vanga seems to be doing exactly the opposite of what directors did with Prabhas for the last few films. Vanga has reportedly decided to execute what even the most die-hard Prabhas fans didn’t dare imagine. Instead of recreating iconic urban environments inside a comfortable studio box, he is dragging the production straight into the organic streets of Hyderabad.

Reportedly, the director shot high octane sequences at the iconic Vimal Theatre in Hyderabad a few days ago. As if that was not enough, he is now filming a crucial sequence at Chanchalguda Central Jail as well. Prabhas is participating in both schedules, and this has become a major talking point in the media.

On many occasions, directors who worked with Prabhas revealed that the actor usually likes to shoot away in places with less crowd. But, Vanga is sparing no effort to do crazy things with Spirit by ditching all these rules. If Vanga manages to execute everything perfectly, he could not just deliver a blockbuster for Prabhas but also put an end to all criticism that has been growing on the actor.
