Buzz: ‘Salaar’ to have Indo-Pak war backdrop

Young Rebel Star Prabhas who is awaiting the release of his upcoming film ‘Radhe Shyam’ under the direction of ‘Jil’ fame Radhakrishna joined hands with Kannada star director Prashanth Neel of ‘KGF’ fame for an action entertainer titled ‘Salaar’.

The expectations are sky-high in this film. None other than Shruti Hassan who recently marked her comeback with a super hit film ‘Krack’ is romancing Prabhas in the film.

Now, an interesting buzz about the movie is doing rounds on the internet. According to the reports, ‘Salaar’ is going to be a retro mass story. It seems like the film will entirely run with a 1970 backdrop. The buzz is that the film will feature the 1971 war between India and Pakistan.

However, the film will be a fictional story based on the Indo-Pak war that took place in 1970. More details regarding the story are still under the wraps.

Vijay Kiragandur under the Hombale Films banner is bankrolling this project. Ravi Basrur is composing tunes for this movie. The film is expected to have a theatrical release in 2022.
