Nag-Chay Multi Starrer: Samantha Fans Disappointed

After years of waiting, finally, senior hero Nagarjuna’s much awaited multi-starrer with son Naga Chaitanya, Bangarraju, is launched today. Directed by Kalyan Krishna of Soggade Chinni Nayana fame, as a prequel to the 2016 film, the film has Kriti Shetty playing the pair of Chay, while Ramya Krishna will join Nag along with another heroine.

All these days, there was a buzz that Samantha is the leading lady in consideration for the project, which would have marked a 6th time collaboration between them. Fans have widely believed that ChaySam is going to mesmerise them once again after the super success of Majili, their previous outing together. But with Krithi Shetty getting confirmed some time ago, many have waited to see if that is just a rumour. And today, it’s finally confirmed that she is the leading lady.

That’s one biggest disappointment for Samantha and Chay’s hardcore fans as they wanted to see the total team of Manam re-unite including Sam, Chay, Nag and Anup Rubens. Anyway, now that Kriti’s name is official, we have to see if the sparkling ChaySam will join hands for another project soon.

On the other hand, Samantha has recently wrapped up her work on Gunasekhar’s Shakuntalam in Telugu, while she’s about to finish her multi-starrer with Nayantara and Vijay Sethupathi as well which is being directed by Vignesh Shivan.
