I Initially Had Disappointment: Tuck Jagadish Director

Natural Star Nani’s wholesome family entertainer Tuck Jagadish directed by Shiva Nirvana will be arriving on Amazon Prime Video for Vinayaka Chaturthi on 10th of this month. Here are excerpts from the director’s interaction with scribes.

What’s the reason behind naming the film as Tuck Jagadish?
Tuck Jagadish is a pure family film. The title sounds inapt for now. But, there is a sensible reason for naming the film as Tuck Jagadish. You will know it when you watch the movie. Censor officials too appreciated Nani’s character and the movie.

What’s Nani’s character in the movie?
He is a very jovial person and a family man. How he resolves a problem within the family is the crux of the story.

What’s the inspiration for the story?
I used to stay at my grandparents’ home during my childhood. Ours was a joint family and I didn’t miss a single relationship. I thought of narrating a family story on rural backdrop. Although story is not unique, the screenplay has many twists. In fact, Nani okayed only after listening to 10 minutes of basic idea.

Do you feel bad for releasing the movie on OTT?
I initially had disappointment. But, there is also an advantage with OTT release. We can enjoy the film with our entire family members for festival. If the film arrives in theatres, elders may not have watched it.

Will Jagapathi Babu’s character have negative shades?
Everyone will have positives and negatives. Likewise, Tuck Jagadish will show two shades of every character. There will be weakness and strength for every character.

Tell us about your next project?
I’m planning to make a full-length entertainer and Vijay Deverakonda will feature in it. Mythri Movie Makers will produce the film which will go on floors, after Vijay Deverakonda wraps up Liger.
