Natural Star Nani had two back-to-back releases on OTT platforms. His last two films, V and Tuck Jagadish skipped the theatrical release and premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
The actor was reluctant to release these films in the digital arena but he couldn’t do anything as producers were facing a financial crunch. But he has decided not to release his upcoming films directly on OTT platforms, no matter what.
Nani’s next release will be Shyam Singha Roy, which is being directed by Rahul Sankrityan. Touted to be a period drama, this film got done with its shoot and the post-production works are currently underway.
Though V and Tuck Jagadish were released amidst huge expectations, they ended up as disappointments. Many people also thought that producers sold those movies as they were sure that these flicks will end up as flops if released theatrically.
After scoring these two disasters, Nani is hoping to bounce back with Shyam Singha Roy. He wants to release it on the big screen and score a success with it. Apparently, the flashback episode will be the major asset of this movie. Sai Pallavi played the role of Nani’s wife in this episode.
Krithi Shetty is the other female lead of this movie. The makers are planning to release Shyam Singha Roy in December this year.
