One of the most hyped songs of the season is none other than Sarangadariya from the film “Love Story” which has Sai Pallavi dancing to it. And the song clocked nearly 326 million views so far for its official release which took place 6 months ago. Owing to this fact, the expectations on Sekhar Kammula’s Love Story got doubled.
But when looked on the screen, Sarangadariya has lost its steam and somehow it isn’t as interesting as the hype around it. While many expected that it will have Vachinde (Fidaa movie) kind of vibes in the theatre, the song fails to give that awe feel. By the time this song arrives, already the film is moving slow and the routine caste-drama made the proceedings boring.
Coming to the choreography of the song, the song has fantastic dance moves as if it is a showreel designed for Sai Pallavi and is also colorful. Usually, these types of songs should invite whistles and shouts, but the song just passed like that without spreading any excitement. The makers might have wanted to keep it until the end, but the meanwhile-wait turned exhaustive.
Like how many hyped songs like Kolaveri Di and others failed to work out in theatres, even Sarangadariya hasn’t cast any magic spell.
