Mahesh Babu: As A Policy, I Don’t Discuss Scripts With Namrata

It is an open secret that Namrata, the wife of Mahesh Babu is involved with almost all of his projects. She plays an integral role in setting up new projects for Mahesh. She coordinates with well-established and also promising filmmakers and encourages them to pitch stories for Mahesh. She is also the commander in chief at Mahesh’s GMB Entertainments.

However, Mahesh Babu says he never discusses about the scripts of his projects with Namrata. He spoke about the same in his latest interview.

“As a policy, I never discuss the scripts or the project, as a whole with Namrata. I select scripts all on my own and that’s how it has been right from the start of my career. If I fail with my script selection, I learn and evolve,” he said.

Mahesh adds that the stakes have never been higher than they are now and that is in turn mounting more pressure on him to deliver commercial blockbusters every time. “The budgets are in upwards of Rs 200 crores now and with so much at stake, I have to put my best foot forward and aim for the best result day in day out.”

Mahesh added that it really pains when any of his films don’t perform well at the box office. “I’ve had a good phase in the recent past but things were a bit inconsistent a while ago. Experiments like Spyder didn’t work.”

Mahesh is currently busy with Sarkaru Vaari Paata and once he is done with this project, he will collaborate with Trivikram and Rajamouli for SSMB28 and SSMB29 respectively.
