No Bail, No Relief for Aryan Khan

A Mumbai Sessions Court has reserved its decision on Aryan Khan’s bail petition. The court had heard the arguments for two straight days and would pronounce its final decision on October 20th. This means Aryan Khan will remain in jail this weekend too.

Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh who appeared for the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) informed the court that Aryan Khan is a regular consumer of drugs and used to consume it for the last few years. The investigation is at preliminary stage, this is not the stage for grant of bail, argued Singh.

Amit Desai on behalf of Aryan Khan said that Aryan did not have drugs on him when he was arrested. He argued that the NCB is relying a lot on WhatsApp chat of Aryan Khan but there are no messages or conversations on the mobile about the rave party.

“Conversations between friends can often appear suspicious given the kind of language young people use today,” added advocate Desai.

But some dramatic scenes took place before the court took up the hearings. NCB’s advocate Anil Singh reportedly reached the court late by two hours. While putting forward his strong arguments, he said, “This is the land of Mahatma Gandhi.”

Aryan Khan was arrested on October 2nd mid-night and is currently placed in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. The prison authorities say that Aryan did not have a bath for the last four days because of the toilets in jail.
