Jai Bhim Trailer: Suriya Shines Big In This Gripping Legal Drama

Star hero Suriya’s biographical drama Soorarai Pottru became a massive success even though it had a direct OTT release. Soorarai Pootru premiered on Amazon Prime Video during Diwali 2020. For this year’s Diwali, the actor is coming up with his new film Jai Bhim which is also having a direct digital release on Prime Video.

Directed by Tha.Se.Gnanavel, the teaser of this movie was revealed a few days back and received a good response from the audience. Now, Amazon Prime Video has unveiled its trailer.

Suriya played the role of a lawyer named Chandru in the movie. He fights the case of a tribal woman and beats all the odds in society to bring justice to her. The film portrays class discrimination that prevails in society. The story is set in the year 1995.

The trailer looks intense and Suriya needs to be commended for choosing such a serious subject that has no commercial elements.

It is good to see Tamil star actors choosing off-beat dramas which question societal norms.

Prakash Raj, Rao Ramesh and Rajisha Vijayan played the other key roles in the movie. Jai Bhim is being produced by Suriya under his banner of 2D Entertainment. It is slated for the premiere on November 2, in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
