When Rana Rejected Nani’s Film

Sometimes, stories are written for a particular hero but they end up in the lap of some other actor. We have seen many films in the past which were supposed to be done by one actor but ended up featuring another actor. As per the latest buzz, the upcoming film Shyam Singha Roy falls under the same list.

According to the buzz, director Rahul Sankrtiyan first approached Rana Daggubati when he had finished the script. Apparently, Rana was Rahul’s choice for the movie.

However, after listening to the story, Rana rejected it and further opined that it will suit Nani.

Upon Rana’s suggestion, Rahul then approached Nani, who accepted the film without any second thoughts. Shyam Singha Roy features Nani in two roles. Krithi Shetty, Sai Pallavi and Madonna Sebastian are playing the female leads in it.

A major portion of the film was shot in Kolkata and other parts of West Bengal. The film got done with its shoot and the post-production works are currently going on.

The makers are planning to release the film towards the end of this year. Shyam Singha Roy is being produced by Niharika Entertainment.
