Sai Dharam Tej’s recent flick Republic had hit the screens on October 1. It was an average grosser at the box office. But the movie turned out to be a super hit in the digital space.
Republic was premiered on Zee5 on November 26. According to the reports, it has clocked 12 crore viewing minutes in the first seven days of its premiere. It is heard that this is a record for Zee5 Telugu.
Zee5 has done heavy marketing for this movie. For the first time, they have introduced a special ‘Director’s commentary’ for this movie where filmmaker Deva Katta explains his vision behind making this film.
Both the film and the director’s commentary are being received well by Zee5 patrons.
Tej’s 2020 release Solo Brathuke So Better had also premiered on Zee5 and received a good response from the viewers.
Republic is a political drama that features Tej in the role of a district collector. Aishwarya Rajesh played the female lead in the movie. Ramya Krishna and Jagapathi Babu played other pivotal roles in it.
