Work from home has become a regular part of life for many IT employees. Now, Cyberabad officials are planning to introduce a new working concept that allows employees to work from parks. Named ‘Work From Park’, the initiative aims to provide a refreshing alternative to regular offices and home setups.
Under this plan, employees can visit selected parks and complete their office work while sitting amid greenery. The facility will mainly benefit work from home employees, freelancers and people working with small companies. Officials believe that working in a peaceful natural environment can help reduce stress and make daily work more refreshing.
As part of the first phase, two parks have been selected on a trial basis. One is Madhava Hills Colony Park in Masjid Banda under the Serilingampally zone, while another park in Madhapur has also been identified. Officials are planning to expand the facility to around 30 to 40 parks across the Cyberabad region based on the initial response.
The selected parks will have WiFi, charging points, desks and chairs to make working easier. CCTV cameras will also be installed for security. Small refreshment centres offering tea, coffee and snacks are being considered. Visitors may have to pay a nominal fee of around Rs 50 to Rs 100 to cover maintenance and other expenses.
Officials are aiming to launch the first two centres by the New Year. There are also plans to develop around 300 new parks and upgrade 97 existing parks across Cyberabad by February next year. If the Work From Park concept receives a good response, it could offer IT employees a new way to balance their professional routine with a refreshing outdoor environment.
