Team India displayed a great effort and tasted victory against New Zealand in the recently concluded test series. Now, the BCCI moved on to the next series against South Africa. Ending the speculations, the BCCI confirmed that Rohit Sharma will be the captain of Team India for One Day Internationals as well as T20 Internationals.
At the same time, BCCI also announced the team that will play against South Africa in the upcoming Test series, starting from 26th December.
The selection committee headed by former Indian cricketer Chetan Sharma along with Debashish Mohanty and Abey Kuruvilla announced the decision of the All India Senior Selection Committee of the BCCI.
By taking over the responsibility of captaincy in ODIs and T20s, Rohit Sharma will also replace Ajinkya Rahane as the vice-captain in the Tests.
