Nani Is Very Confident On Hindi Jersey

Remaking movies is a practice as old as filmmaking itself and people involved in making it often worry about them tarnishing the original one. Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey, a remake of Telugu blockbuster, is receiving a good response for its trailer already. However, the film, being a Hindi remake of Nani’s 2019 sports drama, is leaving netizens worried about defiling the purity that it showed in the Telugu version.

No matter what, Nani staunchly believed in the filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri’s work, who directed both versions. Talking to the media, Nani said that he is absolutely in love with Hindi Jersey’s trailer and encouraged the purpose of remaking. The actor said the soul is intact in the remake. It is not uncommon for remake films to have a dearth of magic or soul, despite having good production values. But Nani cheered for the Jersey film and said he loved its trailer. “I think it’s going to be a very big hit when it releases,” says the actor.

Though the natural star did not speak to Shahid post the trailer release, it is no secret that he is good friends with Gowtam. Nani said he talks to Gautam often on the phone and discusses how things are moving with the Hindi release. Despite being busy, Goutam makes sure to call Nani and shares some tidbits of his Hindi film’s experiences. “Goutam is very happy with the Hindi version,” Nani said. Well, it goes without saying that if the remake did not live up to the expectations, chances are quite strong that it makes you love the original even more.

The actor further said that the director also joined him a couple of times on Shyam Singha Roy’s set and also showed him pictures from Jersey’s sets and shoots. “So I think the film will do really well,” Nani concluded. Though Nani is busy with his next film Shyam Singha Roy, he said he will make sure to watch Jersey on its release date (December 31).
