“It’s not at all insulting the audiences. When any given product in India has an MRP on it, why not movie tickets are being sold without the maximum retail price? Our government stands by the people” said Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, when media quizzed him to respond about the comments made by hero Nani today on the situation of cinema theatres in Andhra Pradesh.
Botsa advised that if the film industry feels that the ticket prices set by the government are not enough for their survival, they have to make a representation to Chief Minister Jagan and get the issue resolved rather than giving all these statements.
“In a democratic country, you can’t collect as much as you want as a ticket price. You have to follow the rules and law as well. People are getting benefitted from the government’s decision. If the film industry has a problem, they have to meet us and discuss”, Botsa added.
At the same time, producer Natti Kumar who has close connections with ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh has blasted hero Nani saying that the actor doesn’t know anything about film collections and the way this business operates. “Nani should think before he speaks,” said Natti.
Well, this sort of targeting is expected anyway and Nani must be ready to face the music for the next couple of days.
