Ever since SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR opted out of the race, there is a mad rush for films to announce the release dates. Joining the bandwagon is Dr Rajasekhar’s Shekar. It is buzzed that the makers of Shekar are mulling over to be in the Pongal race.
While the makers of Radhe Shyam maintain that the film would hit the screens on 14th Jan, 2022 as per the schedule, the other films that are in Sankranthi race are Nagarjuna’s Bangarraju, DJ Tillu, Hero, 7 Days 6 Nights, Super Machi, Atithi Devobhava, Rowdy Boys and et al.
Now, there is a jostle for the screens as several films are making a beeline to release for Sankranthi. Also, there’s a fear among makers that the Covid-19 cases may spike further in the next few months. So, the producers want to have their films released before the next wave.
