Many Doubts On Remake Of Time-loop Sensation

There are many Hollywood movies based on the time-loop concept and many of our Indian filmmakers are bringing it here. One of them is Simbu’s Maanaadu that released a month back in Tamil. If the reports and hints are anything to go by, the movie is about to get remade in Telugu.

The twist here is that Maanadu was already dubbed in Telugu and that version just did not make it to theaters for other reasons. There were rumors then that Geeta Arts is planning to bring it in Telugu with Sai Dharam Tej as a hero, but Suresh Babu released an official notice clarifying that he has got the rights of Maanadu.

Giving more confusion to this, the Maanadu Telugu version as ‘The Loop’ was released on Sony Liv and one cannot understand how Suresh Babu let it happen when he has got the rights. Needless to say, there were many successful movies that were remade into Telugu, even though the dubbed versions are available.

Well, we have to see if Suresh Babu wants to bring the remake to the OTT version or release it in theaters with a big enough hero in it. Maanadu is a time loop concept-based thriller that revolves around a policeman’s attempts to kill the Chief Minister and a youngster trying to stop it from happening. The screenplay of Maanadu garnered big applause as it keep the viewers glued to the seats even with repeated scenes with different vantage points.
