Director Ram Gopal Varma’s film on politicians Konda Murali and Konda Surekha, had its trailer unveiled. ‘Kondaa’ trailer begins with RGV’s voice over and he also cites Karl Max’s quote of ‘Extreme People Emerge From Extreme Situation.’
‘Kondaa’ is set in Warangal in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Actor Thirgun who almost looks like young hero Adith Arun played the role of Konda Murali while Irra Mor of Nag’s ‘Officer’ fame played Konda Surekha.
Murali and Surekha are seen as college mates and eventually fall in love. But Murali is attracted to the Maoists (Naxal) movement and in due course, joins the rebel group. From here how Murali rose to ranks and then ventures into politics forms the plot.
The trailer is shoddy with poor technical aspects. RGV who was once a master technician clearly lost his touch despite having a decent content in hand. Like all previous films of RGV, even ‘Kondaa’ is likely to go unnoticed.
