During the Sankranthi season, had RRR arrived on Jan 7th, Bheemla Nayak on Jan 14th, and Radhe Shyam on 15th, there would have been a severe theatre scarcity, but thanks to corona third wave the clash got averted. However, it looks like even Summer 2022 is going to be a huge clash of titans at the Telugu box office, however, Telugu biggies are not scared anymore.
If the revelations made by Dil Raju are anything to go by, there will not be any release date clashes or issues for Tollywood’s biggest projects that are queuing for a release in a row.
The leading producer of Tollywood says, “Summer is a 50 days season as it lasts till May ending, and we would release a biggie for every 2 weeks, with no scope for clash or eating away of revenues”. Speaking with a TV channel, Raju made these comments.
He feels that even if RRR comes up on March 18th, by two weeks theatres will be available for other big projects. And he confirmed that there is no chance of a clash between any of the biggies like Pawan’s Bheemla Nayak, Megastar’s Acharya and Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaruvari Paata as well as Prabhas Radhe Shyam.
“For Sankranthi it is tough as the holiday is only for 3 days, but when it comes to Summer, the seasons last till May ending, so we could adjust big films easily and all the big stars understand this” Raju asserted.
But we are hearing that Raju will sit with the Active Producers Guild and chalk out a release plan for each big project without worrying any single producer.
