Mahesh’s Name Dragged In That Film Once Again

Some films stay as rumours but never make it to the final cut. Ramayana seems to be one such project. For a long time, it is being heard that Allu Aravind is planning to make a film based on Ramayana with a mammoth budget of Rs. 500 crores, with Dangal fame Nitesh Tiwari directing it. But there is no official announcement about it till now.

Back then, it was rumoured that Superstar Mahesh Babu was approached to do the role of Rama in this movie. Now, the news is back again. The latest reports stated that the makers are in talks with Mahesh once again and the latter is yet to take his call. It was further stated that if Mahesh declines the role, Ranbir Kapoor would do it.

Why is this news popping in media every now and then? It is already known that Mahesh already has three films in the lineup. One of them is with SS Rajamouli. So, he is busy for the next three years. Still, the news of Ramayana is making it to the headlines very often.

Are the discussions being held for sure? Or is this just a PR stunt by Mahesh’s team, to grab attention in Bollywood? But Mahesh said he is not interested in doing Hindi films and he is comfortable sticking to the South.

Then, who is coming up with this news regularly? Only Mahesh or the supposed makers of Ramayana should give clarity about this issue.

As of now, Mahesh is busy with the works of his next film Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
