After a gap of 5 years, Nenu Local stars, Nani and Keerthy Suresh, are all set to enthrall their fans with their upcoming collaboration, Dasara. The film is touted as one of the most expensive films in Nani and Keerthy’s careers. The makers recently spent a whopping Rs 12 crore to erect a huge set on the outskirts of Hyderabad.
Dasara is an intense period action drama set in Telangana. Dasara is going to be quite dark in terms of its content and tone. Already, Nani’s impressive rough and rugged first look was unveiled during the film’s announcement last year. Fans were thrilled to see Nani sporting a thick beard like never before. Nani will also display his authentic Telangana dialect in the movie.
And the latest we hear is that even Keerthy Suresh will be seen portraying a never before seen de-glamorous role in Dasara. Like Nani, Keerthy, too, will leave her fans pleasantly surprised with her striking makeover. Keerthy has already essayed several author-backed roles in her career so far, and her character in Dasara will be a notch higher.
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, Dasara marks Srikanth Odela’s directorial debut. The film also boasts a highly skilled technical team, with Santosh Narayan scoring the soundtrack, Sathyan Sooryan as the cinematographer and Navin Nooli as the editor. Talented young Malayalam hero Roshan Matthew is going to make his Tollywood debut with Dasara. If things go as planned, the film is likely to release in August this year.
