Climax: Chiru & Co To Meet YS Jagan!

The movie ticket prices row in Andhra Pradesh has reached a climax. The state government appointed committee met a couple of times and discussed this issue and many others related to the film industry. The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and Producers Guild also gave their representation to the state government but the outcome remained suspense.

There is also a case pending on this issue in AP High Court and the next hearing will take place on February 10th. With just two days left, there is an anticipation from the industry folks that the AP government will come up with a positive intent.

Ahead of this, a crucial meeting is going to take place and it is between Megastar Chiranjeevi and AP CM YS Jagan. Last month Chiru met Jagan over lunch and Chiru brought up the main issue of ticket price. Informing the details of the meeting, Chiru said CM Jagan responded positively.

From highly placed sources we hear that Chiru & few more active members from industry is going to meet CM Jagan. The reports say that Chiru and team was supposed to meet Jagan last week but as Chiru suffered Covid-19, the meeting got postponed. In all likelihood Chiru will be knocking CM Jagan’s doors on February 10th.

On the other hand, MAA President Vishnu Manchu made interesting comments on Jagan and Chiru’s last meeting. “It was their personal meeting and I have no clue what they discussed. Coming to the issues related to the film industry, the film chamber and rest of the associations should be one voice and address their concerns,” said Vishnu.

Overall it looks like a hectic and most important week for the Telugu film industry because big films are lined up later this month and next month, mega budget films have locked their releases.
