B-Town Makers Trying Hard For Lata Mangeshkar’s Biopic

The demise of Lata Mangeshkar will definitely create a void in the Indian singing space. Many of her fans are yet to digest the fact that the ‘Nightingale of India’ is no more.

Meanwhile, the filmmakers of Bollywood have already started making plans on producing a biopic of Lata Didi. According to the B-Town sources, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aanand L Rai, and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra are the front runners to grab the rights.

Apparently, Bhansali wanted to make a film on Lata’s life for more than ten years. It couldn’t materialize when she was alive. Now, he is still trying to make it possible.

However, we hear that the family of Lala Mangeshkar is not interested in allowing people to make a biopic on her, as of now. It has to be seen if they give permission in the coming days.

Lata Mangeshkar is one of the iconic singers that our country has witnessed. In her long-lasting career, Lata won many prestigious awards like India’s highest civilian award Bharat Ratna, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and Dada Saheb Phalke Award.

She passed away on February 6, due to multiple organ failure.
