Kartikeya Gummakonda is gearing up for his biggest ever release till date- as Valimai is set to storm the theaters across India in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada on February 24.
In a media interaction, the actor said director H Vinoth approached him for the baddie role in Valimai in 2019 and he was very excited after listening to the story and his script.
“Though there were huge challenges to make the film due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the team overcame all of them with patience and dedication. Ajith sir was such a gem of a person. Despite being a top star, he is humple and simple. And I learnt a lot from him on the sets of the movie,” he says.
Kartikeya says Ajith continued to work even after sustaining injury during a chase scene. “Such was his sincerity. He would behave like a commonman off the camera,” the RX 100 and Gang Leaeder actor adds.
The film has been produced on a lavish budget on Bayview Projects and Zee Studios banner by Boney Kapoor. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Vijay Velukutty.
