Looks like whenever ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is coming up with a film based on real persons, Court cases are the most common thing. Even for his tomorrow’s release “Gangubai Kathiawadi”, the director is facing many cases but relief has come now with the Supreme Court refusing to stall the release of the movie.
Other day, a person claiming to be an adopted son of Gangubai has knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court to stall the release of the film, saying that they have portrayed GAngubai in a poor light.
However, the lawyers of Alia Bhatt’s film have indeed confirmed that they have glorified what Gangubai has really done to the people of Kamatipura but haven’t shown her in poor light.
At the same time, lawyers defending the film also argued that the film is based on a book written by Hasan Zaidi almost 11 years ago and all these people are objecting to the content as it is made into a film now.
Also, the lawyers questioned if there is any proof that this adopted son is really adopted by Gangubai. Considering the arguments, SC refused to stall the release fo the film , while the name change issue will get a final clarity by the evenign.
