Akhil’s Next: No, Nag’s Director Is Not Approached

Young hero Akhil Akkineni is one of those star kids who is struggling to get his feet right in Tollywood. As his first three films, including Akhil, Hello and Mr Majnu, haven’t done well at the box office, he is hoping that making the right choice of scripts and directors will be helping him at this crucial time.

All set for the release of “Most Eligible Bachelor”, carved by Bommarillu Bhaskar, whenever theatres re-open, Akhil is now looking to lock his next project. At a time when discussions are going on with star director Surender Reddy for out and out action entertainer, there have been reports that Akhil okayed a film of writer-director Veeru Potla.

Sources revealed that neither Akhil has approached the director, nor Veeru Potla. This writer-director shot to fame after debuting with Manoj’s Bindaas and later director Nagarjuna’s Ragada which drew flak at the box office. Though he made films like Sunil’s Eedu Gold Ehe, somehow things didn’t work out. And currently, he is said to be working on a web series for Aha, but haven’t narrated any story to Akhil.

On the other hand, the Akkineni lad is said to be looking forward to pick some big and happening directors for his next bunch of movies.
