The debate over long-drawn-out ticket prices controversy in Andhra is still uptight and everywhere. The Jagan-led Government had released the revised rates G.O a few days ago but the discussions and disappointment seem perpetual. Prabhas‘s Radhe Shyam was also only allowed a scanty amount of 25 rupees hike. In order to avoid such last-minute problems, filmmaker Rajamouli and producer Danayya are meeting the Chief Minister today.
The reports come in that the duo headed to request Jagan and ask him to reconsider the decision such as giving special rates and extra shows permission for RRR. The film is releasing on 25th March and it is one of the mega-budget films in recent times. Considering the expectations and budget the RRR has, the makers cannot afford surprises from the government.
Ergo, Rajamouli is expected to explain to Jagan once again about the film’s budget and the losses they might face if the situation continues. As we know, Rajamouli has been one of the active participants in all TFI meetings with the AP Government. It is now awaited to see if the duo can make Jagan to change his decision.
Earlier when Jagan released new GO, Rajamouli has thanked CM for his support to the Telugu film industry. “Thanks to the CM of AP @ysjagan garu and @perni_nani garu for aiding the Telugu Film fraternity through the revised ticket pricing in the new G.O. Hope this helps towards the revival of cinemas.” Rajamouli tweeted about AP government.
