Kannada Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar’s final film James has hit the screens across the world today. The makers released the film today as it marks the birth anniversary of Puneeth.
As expected, Puneeth’s fans thronged into theatres across Karnataka since this morning. They have been celebrating the release and also feeling emotional by watching their favourite actor on the big screen.
Many videos showcasing fans getting emotional at the theatres are now going viral all over social media.
The theatre owners across Karnataka have decided not to screen any other film for a week to pay a tribute to Puneeth. All theatres in the state are packed with people since this morning. Fans have erected large cut-outs of Puneeth and also performed Palabhishekam on them.
Directed by Chethan Kumar, James features Priya Anand as the female lead. Puneeth shot 90% of this film. After his demise, the makers changed the story a bit and completed the film with the necessary post-production works.
Along with Kannada, James has also been released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil languages. It was released on about 4000 screens worldwide. This is the biggest release in Puneeth’s career.
