RRR: Telangana Permits Ticket Prices Hike For 10 Days

With SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited movie RRR set for release on March 25, the Telangana government has agreed to fix special ticket prices for the film for the first 10 days after its release. The Telangana Government gave a green signal to screen five shows for the first ten days, from 7 am to 1 am.

Also, giving a boost to the much-anticipated film, the multiplexes would be having Rs 70 and Rs 100 extra (normal & recliner) for 3 days and Rs 50 extra for the next 7 days, starting from March 25th. For the category of AC single screens, rs 50 extra has been permitted for three days and Rs 30 extra for 7 days. The additional rates that have been accorded to RRR for the first weekend in Telangana come two days after the Andhra Pradesh government issued a new GO.

The Jagan-led government permitted all the theatres to raise an amount of Rs 75 per ticket over and above admission rates. With the new GO, the theatre owners can sell the tickets additionally to the current ticket rates. Also, in cities, single-screen theatres can sell the tickets at Rs 236 and multiplexes for Rs 265 for 10 days from the date of release. The two states’ ticket hikes get mixed opinions on social media so far.

RRR, starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, and Alia Bhatt, is set to hit the screens on March 25 after missing its theatrical release multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
