RRR is having a grand release all over the world on the 25th of this month. In some areas, the film is having a big release with premieres. In the USA, the pre-sales of the film crossed magical numbers too. Meanwhile, the film’s release in Gulf has become the talk of the town.
Generally, all Telugu biggies release in Gulf and UAE with premieres on Thursday night. Surprisingly, the premieres are underway for the Hindi version and the film’s release is confirmed in Hindi too. However, the Telugu version of the prestigious project will be screened on 26th in UAE and on 27th in the rest of the gulf.
Incidentally, Phars Films bought entire overseas rights and sold off in parts to others. Phars Films still have the rights of the film for Gulf. It looks like the distributors are intentionally holding the release of the Telugu version only to cash the craze of the audience to watch the Hindi version first.
It looks like a strategy but it may not work properly. The trade pundits are expecting a straight loss of 80–100k admits if the Telugu and Tamil versions will not be released on the 25th.
We have to see if the producer of RRR can intervene here. RRR is hitting the screens on 25th March 2022.
