‘Acharya Will Be My First And Last Item Number’

Regina Cassandra is one of the many actresses who experienced the slow fading of her popularity in Tollywood. Despite a feeble career right now, the actress never failed to wow the audience with her variety of roles, including antagonist and a sister role. Regina believes that she should not be boxed into a certain type of role and make her versatility trait speak aloud.

The actress now has her item number Saana Kastam with Chiranjeevi from Acharya and it took social media by storm. She called it her first and last item number. “Earlier, someone had asked me if I would do an item song and I said I will do it only with Chiranjeevi sir and no one else. He is such a graceful dancer,” said the actress.

She further called Chiru a super encouraging person who makes everyone feel good being around. “He is on time always and so will be others to see him. This is my first and last item song, I should call it. This was on my bucket list and I think I did.” the actress adds. Regina will be seen next in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s Hindi web show starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi. She said that her role will be a small one in season 1 and she will be seen as Vijay Sethupathi’s wife.

Talking about typecasting, the actress said that typecast happens all the time especially when people see them in a certain role.”I did my first film when I was 14 and I played a pregnant sister role in the movie. Then I got big offers, 4-5 Tamil films as heroes sister but I didn’t want to do those for reasons. I think typecast happens at any stage of actor’s life”.
