Rajamouli Changed VFX Game With Animals Sequence

From bomb blasts to double action sequences, vehicle chases to wire-based stunts, Indian cinema has excelled in bringing out some breathtaking visual effects. However, when other real-life characters like animals are involved, always our visual effects are proving that they are not up to the mark. And these inferior quality VFX additions have spoiled many films and some stunning sequences as well.

In many Hindi and Telugu movies, we have seen heroes or villains fighting with animals, but the b-grade quality visual effects of those CG created creatures have disappointed the audiences.

At a time when Hollywood is coming up with ultra-realistic creatures that never create a doubt to audiences that they are created in CG, these cheap graphics in Telugu and Hindi movies have fizzled big time.

And the top quality work among such CG sequences is none other than the bull-fight sequence of Rana and a Bull in “Baahubali” movie. But then, that sequence also appears like a cheap quality VFX as the bull appears to be a computer-generated one at a point in time. But now, Rajamouli has beaten himself with the work he has brought out for the RRR movie.

Especially the tiger sequence involving Jr NTR appeared like it was actually shot with a real tiger. Even the interval sequence looked very believable for the quality of rendering, which was done by Hollywood-based The Moving Picture Company (MPC studios) which provided VFX for Hollywood biggies.

Investing budgets that are four times huge than what it would have cost in India or neighborhood countries, Rajamouli achieved this high-quality work for RRR.

Right now, many top Telugu and Hindi directors are looking forward to working with Hollywood VFX studios such that they would deliver quality work that matches to that of Rajamouli’s RRR.
