Paruchuri’s post-mortem on Radhe Shyam

One of the biggest disasters at the Indian box office in the recent past is Radhe Shyam. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, this film featured Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. It was a colossal disaster at the box office.

Senior writer Paruchuri Gopala Krishna analyzed this film in one of his recent videos. He said that Radhe Shyam’s plotline was brilliant but it failed due to bad execution.

He said that music is the major drawback of this film. “Generally, these kinds of romantic films should have a soulful soundtrack which drives the story. But Radhe Shyam’s soundtrack is not up to the mark. None of the songs is memorable,” said Gopala Krishna.

“Even a mass hero like NTR has done successful love stories like Yedureetha and Aradhana. Music played a major role in the success of these films. Prabhas’s stardom reached another level after Baahubali. Radhe Shyam failed to live up to fans’ expectations. There are no fights or good songs in it. Prabhas has earlier done super hit love stories like Varsham and Mirchi. They have commercial elements that helped in becoming successful ventures. Radhe Shyam is nowhere near Prabhas’s stardom,” he further opined.

Gopala Krishna further stated that the title also played a spoilsport for this film. He felt this is a bad title for this movie. Many netizens have agreed with the analysis of Paruchuri Gopala Krishna. They also felt that Prabhas’s makeup and looks were also bad in this film. They opined that his face has lost that old charm. It is high time for the actor to focus on his looks as well.
