Young Director Getting Affected By Jersey?

Gautam Tinnanuri made his directorial debut with the 2017 film Malli Raava. It was a hit at the box office. He continued the success with his second outing Jersey. He remade the film in Hindi with the same title.

Starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, it is all set to release on April 22. Jersey was supposed to release last year. But it was postponed due to the pandemic. Later, it was slated for release on December 31. Then, the makers have postponed once again due to the third wave of the pandemic.

It was then announced that the film will hit the screens on April 14. Just a few days ago, the makers have decided to push the release to April 22 in order to avoid a clash with KGF Chapter: 2.

Jersey is a good subject and has all the elements to become a hit. Moreover, Shahid’s last film Kabir Singh was a blockbuster as well. But multiple postponements have affected the buzz of the film. There is no anticipation left in most of the audiences now.

If the movie doesn’t get a positive result, will it affect Gautam’s career? Moreover, he is going to do his next film with Ram Charan. But the delay in Jersey works is delaying Charan’s movie work.

So, we have to see to what extent will Jersey’s result affect Gautam’s career.
