With almost ₹ 134.50 crores gross collection on Day 1 from across the world box office, KGF: Chapter 2 aka KGF2 has smashed many records at the Indian box office right now. And that too with meager promotions in the Hindi arena, the film proves the fact that the fanism around the first part of KGF is real.
In the first step, KGF2 has crossed the lifetime business of the first part, KGF1, on the release day itself. While KGF1 collected ₹ 44+ crores nett from Bollywood in its full run, now KGF2 collected nearly ₹ 54 crores nett on Day 1 alone.
And then, this figure is something that shattered the expectations of Bollywood folks also. Because this Day 1 collection is bigger than what WAR (₹ 51+ Cr) and Thugs Of Hindostan (₹ 50+ Cr) collected on Day 1, which is a sort of record till now. RRR collected only ₹ 17+ crores nett on its release day in the Hindi belt.
KGF2 has now become the undisputed king of Bollywood and the film is likely to smash many records out there as Friday happens to be a Good Friday holiday and the weekend is following it thereby giving superior scope for the movie to make it super big in just a week. They say that the film might cross RRR’s lifetime Hindi collection of ₹ 240+ crores so far, in just a week span.
