Pawan’s Pan-India Experiment: Hit Or Flop

Hari Hara Veera Mallu

The success of Baahubali, KGF, Pushpa, and RRR are now inspiring South Indian filmmakers and actors to come up with pan-India movies. Even Power Star Pawan Kalyan is joining the list with his upcoming film Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, this film is a historic fiction set in the backdrop of the Mughal era. Nidhhi Agerwal plays the female lead in it. According to the sources, Krish is focussing on the Hindi version on par with the Telugu version.

It seems that he has roped in a couple of noted Bollywood writers to pen the Hindi dialogues of this movie. In the past, Krish had directed Hindi films like Gabbar and Manikarnika.

Gabbar was not a big success. Manikarnika was a hit but the success went to Kangana Ranaut’s credit. Moreover, Krish’s spat with Kangana ruined his image in Bollywood.

So, Hari Hara Veera Mallu cannot bank on its director’s Bollywood filmography to attract the Hindi audiences. There should be other factors that can appeal to Hindi-speaking folks. Compared to actors like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, and Prabhas, Pawan doesn’t have wide popularity in North India.

Amid these factors, it has to be seen how the film works in the Hindi speaking belt.
