ED Attaches Rs 7 Cr Assets Of Saaho Beauty

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth Rs 7.27 crore belonging to Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez. This act was done by the ED for Jacqueline’s association with conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar and he has been under the ED’s radar for extortion.

Fixed deposits worth Rs 7.12-crore and an amount of Rs 15 lakh that was paid by Sukesh to a script writer on the actor’s behalf, are understood to have been frozen by the ED.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar cheated high-profile people including former Fortis Healthcare promoter Shivinder Mohan Singh’s wife Aditi Singh. Sukesh amassed a huge wealth of Rs 200 crore. Apparently Shivinder Mohan Singh was jailed in 2019 in a money laundering case and his wife, Aditi Singh was approached by Sukesh promising that he would arrange for her husband’s release.

As ED started digging up Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s history, Saaho beauty Jacqueline came into the picture. Sukesh reportedly gifted Jacqueline valuables worth Rs 5.71 crore including a Mini Cooper car, three designer bags from Gucci, Chanel, two Gucci outfits for gym wear, a pair of Louis Vuitton shoes, two pairs of diamond earrings and a bracelet of multi-coloured stones and two Hermes bracelets. Jacqueline claimed that she returned the Mini Cooper car.

The ED summoned Jacqueline for questioning and the probe agency recorded her statement in 2021 August and October.
