Director Ram Gopal Varma’s last outing ‘POWERSTAR’ met with a disaster response which was released on RGV World Theatre. On the contrary RGV claimed that the collections have poured down in unbelievable numbers.
Irrespective of this, RGV received a penalty from GHMC for sticking ‘POWERSTAR’ posters at unauthorised places. Two days before the release of the film, RGV shared posters of ‘POWERSTAR’ that were pasted at public places and this is first post the lockdown.
However a netizen who noticed this, took it to the attention of CEC-EDVM department of GHMC. Looking at this the GHMC imposed a fine of Rs 4000 to RGV (Rs 2000 for each poster). The challans were issued to RGV offices located at Gayatri Hills and Jubilee Hills.
RGV is yet to react on this fine imposed by GHMC. Meanwhile in no time the director is bringing yet another film titled ‘Murder’ which is based on Nalgonda honour killing.
