Dearest KK, Thank you!

What’s more satisfying and fulfilling for an artist?
Probably, to leave this world by performing their favorite thing.

Our very own KK is lucky in this case. KK breathed his last yesterday evening after performing at a concert in Kolkata. Right after performing at a packed house concert, KK went to the hotel and suffered a cardiac arrest.

With the passing away of KK, everyone is at a big loss. Like, it feels so hard to come to the terms with the fact that he is no more.

KK is so underrated that everyone’s favorite song is crooned by him but most of us do not know that it is his song!

He made us groove to the songs like ‘Hello Doctor’, ‘Ye Mera Jahan’, and ‘Paataki Pranam’.

He made us cry for songs like ‘Nee Kosame’, ‘Evvarineppudu’, and ‘Thalachi Thalachi’.

He gave us soothing melodies like ‘Feel My Love’, ‘Gurthukosthunnayi’, and ‘Uppenantha’.

He was a part of our life for the last two decades. He made us go through a lot of emotions with his voice. That soulful voice is no more and he left every music lover shattered.

If we go on mentioning the super hit songs of KK, the list will be never-ending. Keeping aside his illustrious career in Bollywood, KK also gave us memorable songs in Telugu too. He was the go-to singer for many music directors like MM Keeravani, Mani Sharma, RP Patnaik, and Devi Sri Prasad.

KK started off his Telugu singing career with AR Rahman’s dubbed film Prema Desam. Later, he went on to sing many super hit songs over the last two decades. His last chartbuster in Telugu was Cheliya Cheliya from Yevadu, which was composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

When you are listening to KK’s songs, you feel that a native Telugu singer had sung those tracks. His pronunciation used to be pitch-perfect. Such was his dedication while singing other language songs. Rarely do we see such singers in this generation.

Even after singing so many chartbusters in Telugu, he remained underrated throughout his career. He always remained down-to-earth and continued to do his job without caring about popularity or stardom. Indian musical fraternity and music lovers lost a gem.

You will be missed, KK!

Thank you for being a part of our life in the pre-internet era and with those memories, we cherish you forever!
