Indian men’s Badminton team created a history a few weeks ago by winning the prestigious Thomas Cup for the first time. Telugu-born Kidambi Srikanth led the Indian badminton team to this incredible victory. This victory has been celebrated by the entire country and will be etched forever in the history books of Indian Badminton.
In a recent interview with the Times of India, Srikanth was asked if he would like to see a film on this Thomas Cup win, something like 83 which was made on the famous 1983 cricket world cup victory.
Answering the question, Srikanth said that as he is a Telugu guy, he wants legendary Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli to direct a film on their Thomas Cup win.
“Right now, all our Telugu movies are pan-Indian too. If someone like him chooses to direct, then I would leave the casting to him,” he further added.
In fact, Rajamouli will be the right choice for this film to get international attention. Also, it has been a long time since we saw him making a sports-based movie. Anyway, we have to see if Rajamouli considers this request of Srikanth or not.
