Deepika Padukone As Parvati!

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra has garnered attention in South with none other than SS Rajamouli presenting it. The film which has Nagarjuna Akkineni playing a key role is directed by Ayan Mukherji and produced by Karan Johar. With such heavy weights behind the film it certainly garnered attention.

Ranbir plays Shiva, a young man who has powers of using Astras. Alia Bhatt plays his love interest Isha in this socio fantasy and the film also has Amitabh Bachchan in a significant role. While the film’s VFX in its trailer were criticised, the first part Brahmastra One: Shiva revolves around Shiva and Isha. And here is the latest update.

Deepika Padukone is going to be seen as Parvathi in Brahmastra 2. The second part is about MahaDev and Parvathi. Deepika has been locked to play Parvathi in the second part. What’s more? Deepika will be seen as a cameo towards the end of the first part. Buzz is that Ayan Mukherji has also locked a prominent actor to play MahaDev in the second part. Both of them are going to join Ranbir and Alia.

Ayan wants to make Brahmastra his own universe with various characters getting a spin-off. The trailer also described it as an “Astraverse” movie. The makers are aiming for a September release. We have to wait and see how the first part fronted by Ranbir and Alia would perform at the theatres.
