The 68th National Film Awards were announced on Friday in New Delhi, with the honors for films from the year of 2020. The event is organized by the Directorate of Film Festivals, which comes under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
An interesting pick is that in Best Film Category in Telugu, a small film Colour Photo starring Suahas and Chandini Chowdhary, won the National award.
Helmed by Sandeep Raj, this film was given a direct OTT release during Covid times. Sai Rajesh of Amrutha Productions bankrolled the film.
The movie, released on the Aha OTT platform on 23rd October 2020, scored a huge positive response from its viewers. The heartwarming plot with excellent performances and soothing songs made this film a feel-good movie.
On the other hand, Soorarai Pottru remained as the Best Feature Film.
