After dating for more than five years, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in April this year. Within two months of marriage, Alia announced her pregnancy. Recently, it was rumored that the couple is expecting twins. Now, Alia opened up on that news.

During one of the promotional interviews of Shamshera, Ranbir Kapoor jokingly said that he is expecting twins with Alia. Even after he clarified the joke, the news went viral on social media.

Everyone started reporting that Alia and Ranbir were expecting twins. Eventually, Alia had to respond to these speculations.

During her recent interaction with RJ Siddharth Kanan, Alia said there is no truth in the news. She stated that Ranbir made a joke and eventually shot himself in the foot with it. She added that this news implies we don’t have enough headlines in our country.

The actress requested people not to believe in such rumors. On the work front, Alia is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming film Darlings. Starring Shefali Shah, Roshan Matthew, and Vijay Varma in the other lead roles, this dark comedy will have a direct OTT release on Netflix on August 5.
