Tollywood Bets High On These FOUR Films

The box office of Telugu cinema has been very dull for the last two months. The last successful flicks in Tollywood are Major and Vikram, which were released on June 3. Since then, many movies have hit the screens but failed to entertain the audience.

Last Friday, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Ramarao on Duty hit the screens amid good expectations but garnered negative talk. Now, all eyes are on the August releases.

While Bimbisara and Sita Ramam are gearing up for release on August 5, Macharla Niyojakavargam and Karthikeya 2 are hitting the theatres on August 12.

The trailers of all these films were released and garnered positive talk among the audience. This helped the movies in creating a good pre-release buzz.

Thus, there are many expectations on these flicks to perform well at the box office. Industry folks are hoping that these films will bring back audiences to the theatres and help the Telugu film industry’s trade survive. Bimbisara features Kalyan Ram, Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon in the lead roles. A newcomer Vashisth is marking his debut as a director. For the first time, Kalyan Ram’s film is releasing amidst huge buzz. NTR’s pre-release event speech has taken the hype around the film to the next level.

Sita Ramam features Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. Hanu Raghavapudi is the director. Although Hanu’s films failed in the past, he never disappoints the audience with the trailer. It looks like another poetic love story, and there are positive expectations for the film.

Macharla Niyojakavargam will reveal Nithiin in a mass character after a long time. Editor SR Sekhar is marking his debut as a director. The trailer is a big hit, and the movie has good hopes.

Karthikeya 2 features Nikhil Siddharth and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is a sequel of Karthikeya. The film was supposed to release last month but is arriving on August 12th.
