Sushant Case : Rhea Quizzed by ED For Over 6 Hours

Actress Rhea Chakraborty’s questioning by the Enforcement Directorate continues in related to a money laundering case connected to her former boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Rhea has been quizzed by the ED officials for over 6 hours. According to sources, the ED’s questioning may continue for another 2 hours.

If ED is not satisfied with Rhea’s answers or if ED finds out that Rhea is evading their questions, ED may arrest Rhea. Or if the ED is partly satisfied with Rhea’s answers for today, she may be allowed to leave but she may be called for further questioning tomorrow on more. With this, all eyes are on Rhea’s answers to ED’s questions.

According to various media reports, ED has asked for Rhea’s IT returns and Rhea had told them that she was not carrying them and she would submit all necessary documents. ED has also asked Rhea to submit the documents of the properties purchased by her in recent years. Currently, the ED is continuing its grilling of Reha.

Earlier, Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty was questioned by ED for nearly 2 hours. Showik is also named in the FIR registered by CBI in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

Meanwhile, earlier today, ED had rejected Rhea Chakraborty’s initial request to postpone the ED’s questioning till the hearing of her plea in the Supreme Court. Rhea had asked ED to postpone the recording of her statement till the Supreme Court hearing, but ED had rejected Rhea’s request and asked her to appear before them. Rhea in her plea to the Supreme Court has requested for the transfer of the case against her in Bihar to be transferred to Mumbai where police are already investigating the actor’s death.

It is common knowledge that Sushant Singh’s father KK Singh had filed an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna, charging her with abetment to suicide, theft, wrongful confinement and cheating as well. Meanwhile, the Central government has accepted the request of Bihar government recommending a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case.
