Bollywood hero Aamir Khan’s estranged wife Kiran Rao is directing a movie after almost a decade and it is ‘Laapataa Ladies.’ The teaser of the film is out and it has an interesting premise.
Set in 2001, two young brides get lost from a train just three days after their wedding. Their husbands approach the police and launch a massive hunt. The teaser shows the same, the bride grooms complaint against their missing wives and actor Ravi Kishan plays one of the cop roles who takes up the missing case.
Ironically the bridegrooms don’t have a photo of their wives for identification and in the wedding picture, the missing ladies are spotted with veils. How these young brides are traced forms the plot but it sounds very entertaining.
New faces Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Ranta are the missing women but they are not seen in the teaser.
Kiran Rao picked up an usual subject for her second directorial and the teaser is packed with subtle humour. Biplab Goswami provided the original story.
‘Laapataa Ladies’ will be releasing next year on March 3rd.
