Ex-Miss Switzerland Accuses Trump of Rape

US President Donald Trump has been accused of rape by former Miss Switzerland Beatrice Keul in a report released by House Democrats, reigniting scrutiny of his alleged links to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Keul, a model who had previously accused Trump of groping her in November 1993, has now alleged that he sexually assaulted her during the same incident. The allegations remain unproven, and the White House has strongly denied them.

The 53-page report by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee examines allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump and his past association with Epstein, who died in federal custody in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges involving minors. His death was officially ruled a suicide.

According to the report, Keul was 24 when she first met Trump at a pageant event at New York’s Plaza Hotel, which he owned at the time. She alleged that Trump offered to help her secure a US visa and admission to New York University.

Keul reportedly said Epstein approached her during the interaction, introduced himself as Trump’s close friend and invited her to a party at Mar-a-Lago.

The report further alleges that a representative of Trump later invited Keul to meet him in a hotel room. Keul told House Democrats that Trump forcibly raped her during the encounter, tearing her dress and causing bleeding and bruising.

According to her account, Trump subsequently repeated his promises to help her with a visa and university admission and pressured her to remain silent about the alleged incident.

The allegations are based on Keul’s account documented in the Democratic report. The report’s claims do not, by themselves, establish that the alleged assault occurred.

White House Rejects Allegations

The White House has dismissed the allegations, accusing Democrats of attempting to divert public attention from the Republican Party’s political momentum and Trump’s record in office.

Trump has repeatedly denied wrongdoing in connection with Epstein and has maintained that he ended their friendship long before Epstein’s alleged criminal activities became widely known.

Although Trump’s name appears repeatedly in documents related to Epstein, he has not been charged with any criminal offence connected to the Epstein case.

Democrats Demand Independent Investigation

House Judiciary Committee Democrats have argued that Keul’s allegations should be examined alongside other publicly reported accusations of sexual misconduct against Trump.

Jamie Raskin, the committee’s ranking Democrat, has accused the Justice Department of failing to adequately investigate allegations involving Trump and Epstein. Democrats have called on Attorney General Todd Blanche to appoint an independent special counsel to investigate Trump’s association with Epstein and examine whether other individuals were involved in the convicted sex offender’s activities.

Democrats have also alleged that federal authorities have prioritised protecting the President over pursuing accountability. The Justice Department and the White House have not been shown to have committed a cover-up merely by virtue of these allegations.

The controversy comes ahead of the November 3 elections, which will determine control of Congress. Democrats have reportedly spent more than $35 million on advertisements related to the Epstein case, making the issue a significant political flashpoint.

The latest allegations add another layer to the controversy surrounding Trump’s past association with Epstein, even as the White House continues to reject the accusations as politically motivated.
