After facing multiple postponements and delays, Nikhil Siddhartha’s mythological thriller Karthikeya 2 that released on Saturday has come as a surprise as the film opened well at the Box Office. The final figures are yet to come in, but it is learnt that the film is expected to have done decent numbers in the Telugu states.
The film which revolves around is released in fewer theatres owing to the clash with other releases and existing films like Laal Singh Chaddha, Sita Ramam, Bimbisara occupying the rest of theatres. Given the positive response and strong word of mouth, the film is likely to get more screens and theatres.
However, Karthikeya 2 has missed out the Friday opening which also happens to be Rakhi holiday. Even the US numbers were affected due to missing out Thursday premieres. Yet, despite all these, Karthikeya 2 managed to create the heat at the BO and grab all the attention.
